Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 3/25/26

1. Introduction

Solar Exit Support ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the choices you have, and the rights available to you under applicable law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"), the CAN-SPAM Act, and state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended ("CCPA/CPRA").

This Policy applies to cancelmysolar.com and any related pages, forms, landing pages, and communications operated by us. By using our website or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Identifiers such as your full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Property and contract details, including your solar provider, monthly payment, contract term, financing type, and the concerns you describe to us.
  • Responses you submit through our assessment questionnaire, contact forms, or during phone, text, or email conversations with our team.
  • Records of your consent, including the date, time, IP address, page URL, and the exact disclosure language displayed to you at the moment you submitted a form.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and referring URL.
  • Pages viewed, time on page, clicks, and other usage analytics.
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies used for site functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; doing so may affect site functionality.

Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from marketing partners, lead sources, public records, and service providers that help us verify or supplement the information you submit. We may also check phone numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry, reassigned number databases, and litigation/blocklist databases before contacting you.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we may be able to assist you.
  • To connect you with attorneys, specialists, advocates, or service providers who may be able to help with your solar contract concerns.
  • To contact you by phone call, text message (SMS/MMS), email, or mail regarding your request and related services, consistent with the consent you provided.
  • To verify identity, prevent fraud, and maintain the security of our systems.
  • To analyze site performance, improve our services, and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • To maintain records of consent and communications and to comply with legal obligations, including TCPA record-keeping requirements.

4. Telephone, Text, and Email Communications (TCPA Disclosure)

Express written consent. When you submit your phone number through a form on our website, you provide your prior express written consent for Solar Exit Support and the specific partners identified at the point of submission to contact you at the number provided — including on a wireless number — using an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or prerecorded voice, and/or SMS/MMS text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and you may still contact us by calling (833) 614-3636 without providing consent.

Message frequency and rates. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out. You may revoke consent at any time and by any reasonable means. Reply STOP to any text message to stop text messages, reply HELP for help, tell our representative to place you on our internal Do Not Call list during a call, or call us at (833) 614-3636. We honor revocation requests promptly and no later than ten (10) business days after receipt.

Calling practices. We maintain an internal Do Not Call policy, train personnel on it, and make it available on request. We do not place telemarketing calls outside the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the recipient's local time zone, and we identify ourselves and provide a callback number on every call.

Recording. Calls with us may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Where required by law, you will be notified at the start of the call and may decline recording.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share your information with:

  • Attorneys, law firms, advocates, or specialists who may assist with your matter, where you have consented to that referral.
  • Service providers who host our site, deliver calls, texts, and emails, provide CRM and analytics, and support customer service — each bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Some sharing for advertising measurement may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" under certain state privacy laws. You may opt out as described in Section 7.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Records of consent, opt-out requests, and related communications are retained for at least five (5) years to comply with TCPA and other regulatory record-keeping requirements, even if you ask us to stop contacting you.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, request details about categories of information collected and disclosed, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising, limit use of sensitive personal information, and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise a right, call (833) 614-3636. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the time period required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

You may also register your number with the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov. Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the Effective Date above when we do. Material changes will be posted prominently on this page. Continued use of our site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
